Development of a control system for batching charge materials for a ferroalloy furnace

Proposed solution:

The control system was created on the basis of PLC Siemens S7-300 and the operator panel Siemens. Siwarex modules were used to measure charge materials’ weight. The hardware and software systems were installed in the operator panel of the IP64 version. Operator workstation, implemented on the basis of WinCC, receives reports on batching materials, even in case of its disconnection, or in case of failure of communication channel with PLC. In this case, the data are stored on the memory card installed in the operator panel and when communication is restored all data are synchronized with SCADA-system WinCC.

Executed work and achieved results:

Design documentation was developed, equipment was purchased and manufactured, software was developed, installation and commissioning works were fulfilled, and the system was put into operation.
